

Motion-based video gaming has been available for mass consumption over the past 4-5 years. During that time, while some researchers have been sceptical of the scientific utility of the Wii video game platform, others have gone ahead with validity testing. Over the past couple years, funding sources have been limited and it is very likely that many more articles will be published in the near future demonstrating the efficacy of using motion-based video game systems for rehabilitation as well as a fitness tool.
